The Bakers’ World School of Cake Decorating was established in 1993 and offers over 15 courses, workshops and demonstrations in cake decorating, candy making, cookie making, pastries, and related culinary arts.

1.Basics of Cake Baking and Decoration Course
What will you learn?
Baking: Vanilla Cake, Neaopolitan cake, Fruit Cake, Chocolate Cake, Coconut cake, Banana cake and Cookie making
Decorating: Butter icing, Cake combing and patterns; such as cornelli lace, reverse shell, basket weave, single and multiple draw strings, border decorating techniques, making roses and sweet pea flowers e.t.c
Fee: N30,000
Registration: N1,000
Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

2. ADVANCE CAKE DECORATING FOR ENTRY LEVEL PROFESSIONALS
What will you learn?
Decorating: Perfecting already learnt skills with the use of butter cream, making of flowers using royal icing, covering a cake and working with rolled fondant using cutters. Making bows, drapes, rope and swags. Mounting/stacking tiered cakes using dowel rods. Cake dusting, use of patterned rolling pins, embossing. Making roses using fondant, satin roses and free hand rose.

3. ADVANCE SUGAR CRAFT CLASS
What will you learn?
Learn how to make flower and gum paste, use of royal icing in finishing, fruit and people modelling, with emphasis on fabric effects such as polka dots, stripes on sugar, review of drapes, bows, twists and swags. Use of enhancers such as edible dusts, embossers. Making of sugar and gum pase flowers such as stargazers, lilies, stephanotis e.t.c and also flower arrangements.

4. THE DESSERT MAKING CLASS IS A THREE DAYS COURSE
What will you learn?
How to bake and arrange dessert cakes such as Cheese cake, carrot cake, Swiss roll, Choclate forest gateau, Genose cake and apple cake.

5. PASTRY MAKING CLASS
What will you learn?
Learn how to make the following pastries; doughnut, meatpie, sausage roll, fruit bread, pizza making, croisssant and fruit bread.
